Creamy Tahini and Lemon Dressing

Dress up a simple green salad, avocado toast, or roasted vegetables. You can even use it as a dip for fresh veggies, pita chips, or crackers. The possibilities are endless with this creamy lemon tahini sauce!

Looking for a versatile dressing that can be used for salads, drizzling over roasted veggies, or even as a dip for your favorite snacks? Look no further than this creamy lemon tahini sauce! With the nutty flavor of tahini, tangy lemon juice, and savory miso, this dressing is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Not only is this dressing incredibly flavorful, but it's also super easy to make. Simply blend the ingredients together and adjust the seasoning to your liking. Plus, it can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, making it a great back pocket option for hosting guests or meal prepping.

Ingredients

Makes: 1 cup | Servings: 8 at 2 tablespoons per serving

  • ¼ cup tahini or ½ cup sesame seeds

  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon miso (may replace with ½ teaspoon of salt)

  • 2 teaspoons honey, adjust to taste

  • 1 clove garlic, chopped, adjust to taste

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • ¼ cup water, adjust as needed

  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Add all dressing ingredients to a blender except for the olive oil, water, and salt/pepper.

If using sesame seeds to replace tahini, place sesame seeds in the blender with 2 tablespoons of water and blend until sesame seeds are like a tahini seed butter consistency. Add the lemon juice, miso or salt, honey, and garlic clove.

Blend ingredients for several seconds or until smooth.

With the blender on medium speed, slowly add the olive oil to emulsify. Thin out the dressing with water as needed to obtain desired consistency and yield 1 cup of dressing.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Chill until ready to serve.

This dressing is a great addition to my Sundired Tomato Hummus recipe!

The dressing will stay fresh in the fridge for 5 days.
