Dr. Cheryl Bothwell reviews Dr. William Li’s Book on Eat to Beat Disease: The Science of How Your Body Can Heal Itself.   I will explore what Dr. Li says about what foods &  lifestyle choices enhance, and impair, our body’s regenerative abilities, including our diet. The full list of which foods made Dr. Li’s list for being scientifically proven to activate our body’s stem cells. 

William Li, MD, is a world-renowned physician, scientist, speaker, and author of Eat to Beat Disease: The New Science of How Your Body Can Heal Itself. He is best known for leading the Angiogenesis Foundation. His groundbreaking work has impacted more than 70 diseases including cancer, diabetes, blindness, heart disease, and obesity.  He is an author of over 100 scientific publications in leading journals such as Science, the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, and more, Dr. Li has served on the faculties of Harvard, Tufts, and Dartmouth Medical School.

It is very exciting for me to see prominent physicians like William Li, MD, speak out on the power of food as medicine.    And I wanted to review Dr. Li’s book in this episode and explore his latest research and find more answers on how we can REVERSE DISEASE with food and lifestyle choices.   Have we discovered how to STOP CANCER in its tracks yet?   Let’s what Dr. Li has to say about  how our body heals and regenerates blood vessels to prevent & reverse heart disease and diabetes, regenerate the liver after a weekend of too much drinking… How our body can heal brain neurons and blood vessels to prevent strokes and Alzeheimer’s disease and simply improve memory.    It is very controversial in traditional health care that we can REVERSE Disease.  We all agree we can prevent or delay the onset of disease with diet and lifestyle choices, BUT REVERSAL of DISEASE is another matter.     

I am an expert in nutrition medicine, a doctor of clinical nutrition and registered dietitian, BUT most of all a grieving mom who lost my 17 year old to Cancer.  So I am HIGHLY DRIVEN to find the more answers, and when I see a Vascular Biology Scientist and physician speak out about Reversal of Disease and Cancer, I am super excited and ready to learn more… and of course share it all with you here on this podcast.   Every week new episodes will be released on Wednesday here on Youtube, and wherever you listen to podcasts.
